Dog sneezing isn’t as uncommon as you might think it is. People who hang around at dog parks realize that dog sneezing is more common then they think. The more dogs you are around the more you will see that dog sneezing is a normal part of dog life. Much like it is for people.

So what are some of the more common things that might make your dog sneeze?

The first is the stuff the dog has its nose into. A dog uses it nose to smell its way through life and at some point it is likely to breath in a piece of dust or something that will make the dog sneeze. A lot like humans.

Another common thing that could be making your dog sneeze is a virus. This is probably going to be the cause if you have noticed your dog sneezing more then normal. If it has been going on for several days. You should consider taking your dog to the vet for a checkup just to be sure it isn’t serious. Just to make sure it isn’t a more serious issue.

Either way you shouldn’t have to be concerned too much if your dog is sneezing. Now that it is summer and it has dried out it is more likely that your dog will sneeze more often. When it is dry and dusty your dog is more likely to breath in something that will make it sneeze.

Some things you can do to help relieve your dog sneezing is to provide a lot of water so your dog is able to stay well hydrated. Sneezing is a natural way for your dog to expel foreign things from its respiratory system and having a lot of water will ensure that your dog has enough mucus to properly catch and repel and debris or more importantly and viruses that might try to infect your dog.

For the most part you can relax and only start to think about going to the vet if it seems like you dog sneezing has continued for a day or two, Just remember to use discretion and call a vet sooner if you think your dog is sneezing too much.
