Have you just adopted a puppy but your puppy just keeps on whining? Maybe your neighbors are very unhappy and are complaining to you? If your answer is yes, you are probably not sure what to do now. You still want to keep your puppy but the problems is, you don’t know how to stop him from whining.

How can you solve this problem? There are few methods that you can try. One method is to make use of an electrical device that will give out a noise that only dogs can hear but is very unpleasant to them. Another way to stop your dog whining is to be consistent and tell him to stop whenever you hear him whining.

The drawback is that you will need to be there all the time, or at the very least, most of the time. However, if you give it enough time, your dog may stay quiet and stop whining once and for all. All they do is to emit some unpleasant sound that dogs don’t like to hear. Just imagine yourself procrastinating. Every time you procrastinate, you will hear a loud screeching sound that is so unpleasant. Very soon, you might not want to procrastinate anymore because you simply hate the sound and do not want to hear it anymore.

Generally, this is how those devices work to help you stop your dog from whining. If you are not too sure about the devices and how they work, or maybe you just dislike the idea of annoying your pet, or you are afraid of causing harm to your dog, don’t worry. There are other alternative methods that you can use to stop your dog from whining.

Consistent Training

Another way you can consider to stop your dog from whining is to be there whenever he begins to whine. Once he starts whining, make a loud noise and tell it no. Never try to hit a dog, no matter what kind of negative behaviors he is displaying.

There are other ways to go about making your dog stop whining, or engaging in any other behavior, rather than hitting him. You can slap a newspaper against your hand or just clap your hands together to make your dog stop whatever behavior you want him to.

Due to the fact that dogs have sensitive ears, the methods discussed above work well. Although a newspaper slapped against your palm is probably not going to bother you. But it certainly bothers the dog. Every time your dog starts to whine, do it and do it often. Be consistent and sooner or later, your dog will just stop whining. You and your neighbors will then be able to enjoy the must needed and deserved peace.
